How to get to Phu Quoc Island

By air:
Flying to Phu Quoc is the most convenient way to get to the island, with at least 10 daily flights direct from Tan Son Nhat Airport - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and the capital city of Hanoi. Flight time is approx 40minutes and cost at time of writing is US$25 - US$40 one-way (plus a small booking fee). Indirect flights from Ho Chi Minh City via Rach Gia are also available on most days.

By sea:
Travelling to Phu Quoc by boat, ferry, hydrofoil and cruise liner is becoming a popular option as the number of tourists visiting the island increases each year. With continued development of the port facilities on Phu Quoc, more services will become available in the years to come. There are currently a variety of services available between the Vietnamese mainland and Phu Quoc Island, running frequent daily services. Less regular international services are also available from time to time, though it is worth checking beforehand with the specific companies. We provide a summary below of the services and schedules currently available to Phu Quoc Island ports.

Services generally take around 2:30 hours from Rach Gia and 1:15 hours from Ha Tien, with most vessels docking at An Thoi Port, though some services also dock at Duong Dong port. Minibus and motorbike taxi connections are available on arrival in An Thoi, if travelling onto Duong Dong, Long Beach or any of the resorts or hotels on the island.

Customs & visas:
All visitors must obtain a Vietnam visa prior to entry into Vietnam, with the exception of the following countries which are exempt from requiring a visa when they enter, exit or stay. As of November 2014, foreigners who fly directly to Phu Quoc island (via Siem Reap, Singapore etc) no longer requires Visa.
•    Citizens of Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia and Laos holding valid ordinary passports are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay for not more than 30 days.
•    Citizens of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Japan and South Korea holding different kinds of passports are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay for not more than 15 days

How to get to Mercury Resort Phu Quoc
When you get on the island by air or by sea you can easy to catch the taxi with the affordable price from 50-70 cents per km ~ 11.000 VND to 13.000 VND.

You also can get the shuttle bus ticket to Duong Dong Town when you are on the ferry. The ticket  fee is  approximately US$ 1,5 to US$2 ~ 30.000 VND to 50.000 VND.

If you want to discover the island by your driving skill, you can rent the car, or motorcyle at the airport and the ferry pier.
